How to choose an ergonomic gaming chair from EOS

In short. Pick your ergonomic gaming chair first by what the seat and back are covered in, then by how much the armrests and backrest move. The AIR 600 uses mesh throughout, adds 4D armrests and a footrest. The LUX 500 wears soft fabric and carries 3D padded armrests. The FXM 300 pairs a high mesh back with a 9 cm moulded foam seat and 1D armrests. Every model rides a Class 4 gas lift on 60 mm PU casters.

Mesh, Fabric, or a Mix

The material sets how the chair handles heat. Mesh lets air move through the surface you lean against, while padded fabric and dense foam hold warmth against the body. The EOS AIR 600 wraps both its seat and backrest in EOS AIR MESH, a springy weave that flexes, pushes back, and moves air while you sit.

The EOS LUX 500 goes the other way, covering its full body in EOS LUX SOFT FABRIC that stays breathable yet firm under weight. The EOS FXM 300 lands between the two, joining a tall ventilated back to a 9 cm molded foam cushion, so air reaches your spine while the seat stays padded. Which surface you choose decides how the seat feels once a session runs long.

How each chair's adjustment range compares

The AIR 600 has the widest adjustment range, the LUX 500 sits in the middle, and the FXM 300 stays simple. Its armrests are 4D, raising, sliding forward and back, and swinging sideways. The LUX 500 uses padded 3D arms for height, reach, and angle. The FXM 300 gives 1D arms that only change height.

For the back, the AIR 600 offers the most: a backrest raised across 10-level steps, a lumbar you lock in two spots, and a seat that slides through 60 mm with three set depths, plus a 40 cm footrest that tilts 7 degrees. The LUX 500 relies on a broad Y-frame lumbar that flexes with you and a matched lift and recline locking upright or fully back. The FXM 300 keeps a moving lumbar and a recline that holds where set. Every chair finishes with a 2D headrest.

How to choose

  1. 01

Airflow. The AIR 600 uses mesh on seat and back so air passes through, the LUX 500 uses soft fabric, and the FXM 300 mixes a mesh back with a moulded foam seat.

  2. 02

Armrests. The D number counts directions each armrest moves, so the AIR 600 leads with 4D chrome arms, the LUX 500 has padded 3D, and the FXM 300 adjusts height only at 1D.

  3. 03

Fit to your legs. Only the AIR 600 slides its seat, with 60 mm travel lockable in 3 positions so the edge clears the knee, plus a 40 cm footrest that extends and pivots 7 degrees.

  4. 04

Shared build. All three sit on a metal base, roll on 60 mm PU casters, and rise on the strong Class 4 gas lift, while the LUX 500 base wears an anti-reflective sandblasted finish.

FAQ

Which EOS gaming chair is the most breathable?
The EOS AIR 600 is the most breathable of the three. It carries EOS AIR MESH on both the seat and the backrest, so air moves through at both contact points. The FXM 300 has a mesh back, but its seat is molded foam. The LUX 500 uses soft fabric on the full body.
What do 1D, 3D and 4D armrests mean on EOS chairs?
The number counts how many directions the armrest can move. On the FXM 300, 1D means height only. The LUX 500 has 3D padded armrests that adjust height, forward and back, and rotation. The AIR 600 has 4D chrome-finished armrests, which add sideways movement on top of those.
Which EOS chair has a footrest?
Only the EOS AIR 600 has a footrest. It measures 40 cm, pulls out from beneath the seat when you want it, and tilts through a 7 degree pivot. The LUX 500 and the FXM 300 do not have one.
What is seat sliding and which EOS chair has it?
Seat sliding changes how deep the seat sits, so its front edge sits away from the back of your knees. The EOS AIR 600 is the one that offers it, with 60 mm of travel that locks in 3 positions. The other two hold a set depth.
How do the lumbar supports differ across the EOS chairs?
All three hold the lower back with a lumbar support that moves rather than staying fixed. The EOS AIR 600 has a dynamic lumbar system locking in 2 positions. The LUX 500 uses a large dynamic Y-frame lumbar support. The FXM 300 has dynamic lumbar support.
Where can I buy EOS gaming chairs?
Through retailers based in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. EOS runs a brand site rather than a shop, so you will not find a cart here. We present the chairs, and stores in those five markets take care of buying.
